Dan Kubin Mojobox V2.2

Recently remastered, this is the second variant of the second generation Mojobox. It features a new spring configuration that improves performance, stroke, adjustability, and makes it more cartridge friendly!

It offers greater versatility and ease of stroke adjustment throughout the tattooing process. It is more ergonomic, more reliable and, above all, more performance-focused compared to its predecessor. It is a coil machine with the reliability and ergonomics of a rotary press.

Its design is focused on being more of a shader/buffer, but it is also capable of lining up well, whereas the Sidewinder is more geared towards lining up, but can also shade. If you prefer a more powerful stroke at a slower to medium speed, this is an excellent choice. It is ideal for fine line, black and grey, and colour with any size magnum. It can handle 14 liners, if you prefer to "fix the needle in the skin", while the Sidewinder prefers the needle to float on the skin.

The Mojobox Remastered has a numbered upstroke wheel (just like the V3r), which allows for a wide range of versatility throughout the stroke once in the 5.3 and higher voltage ranges. Simply turn the stroke wheel for a longer or shorter stroke. The 5 setting is the mid-point and the one most people use. Turn to 9 for a longer stroke and 1 for a shorter stroke.

Designed for standard needles on the bar. For cartridges, you can use a rubber band to override the tension by pulling the rubber band over the armature. The barbed needle will have more stroke and the cartridges will be a little softer and less aggressive, which is the nature of a cartridge.

  • Typical operating range: 4 - 6 volts, the ideal point for most is 5 volts at setting 5.
  • Brass construction with a lightly polished finish.
  • Weight: 5 oz / 141 gr.
