  Yori Moriarty (Gijón, 01/11/1976) started tattooing in 2000 and, in 2005, he began to do Japanese tattooing with the American artist Jason Kundell. He made his first trip to Japan in 2007 and established contact with the tattoo culture through the tattoo artist Horitoshi Izumi, from Osaka, in whose studio he worked from 2008 to 2011 in successive visits that he combined with guest work at Everlasting Tattoo in San Francisco, MLV in Leeds, Legacy Tattoo in Helsinki. He has participated in numerous conventions all over Europe and the USA.
  In 2001 he opened his studio Only Tat2 in Gijón with his wife María. Since 2010 the studio is located in a private space in the port of Gijón, his year-round base of operations. He also works as a guest at the studios Rabbid Hands in Seattle and Hollow Gallery in Mallorca. He is the author of Irezumi itai (Satori, 2018) and Japanese tattoos: Meanings, Shapes & Motifs (Promopress, 2018).
